Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Worus: the web panel at app.worus.ai, the assistant that acts on your WhatsApp, and everything offered through them (together, the "Service"). Worus is operated by Pablo María Arranz Pou, based in Spain ("Worus", "we", "us"). "You" means the person who creates an account and links their WhatsApp.
By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Worus.
The short version
- Worus links to your own WhatsApp as a linked device and answers only the chats and groups you hand it, until you stop it.
- Worus is not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta. It uses the same linked-device connection as WhatsApp Web, which WhatsApp does not officially support for automation. WhatsApp could limit or ban a number that uses it. You accept that risk.
- Worus uses AI and can make mistakes. Messages it sends go out in your name, so you're responsible for what you delegate and should check how it's doing.
- No spam, no bulk messaging, nothing illegal. You can unlink and delete your account at any time.
1. Who can use Worus
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract. You may only link a WhatsApp number that you own or are authorised to use. If you use Worus for a business, you confirm that you can bind that business to these Terms.
2. Your account and sign-in
Your account is identified by your WhatsApp phone number. A phone number alone never opens an account: to sign in you prove the number is yours from your own phone, either by sending a short code to your own WhatsApp chat ("You") or by typing back the code Worus writes there. There are no passwords.
Keep your phone and your browser session secure. Anyone with access to your unlocked phone or to a signed-in browser can act as you in Worus. Tell us straight away at the address in Contact if you think someone else has accessed your account. One person, one account, unless we agree otherwise.
3. Linking your WhatsApp
To work, Worus connects to your WhatsApp account as a linked device by scanning a QR code, in the same way WhatsApp Web or WhatsApp Desktop do. While linked, that device receives the messages your WhatsApp receives, and can send messages, reactions and "typing" indicators from your number.
- Unofficial connection. Worus is an independent product. It is not made, endorsed or supported by WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc. It does not use the WhatsApp Business API. WhatsApp's own terms restrict automated and bulk messaging, and WhatsApp may temporarily or permanently restrict numbers it believes break them. We design Worus to behave like a person (it only answers chats you delegate, with limits and human-like pacing), but we can't guarantee WhatsApp won't act against your number, and we're not responsible if it does.
- You're in control. You can unlink Worus at any moment from your phone (WhatsApp › Settings › Linked devices). Once unlinked, Worus can no longer read or send anything.
- You remain bound by WhatsApp's own terms, and you're responsible for complying with them.
4. What Worus does on your behalf
You tell Worus, in the panel, which chats or groups to handle, for how long, and with what information (a "delegation"). For each delegation, Worus may:
- read incoming messages in that chat, including text, photos, stickers and voice notes (which it transcribes);
- write and send replies and reactions from your number, using your instructions and the knowledge bases you choose;
- tell you when it doesn't know something, when a message may not have been delivered, or when it hits a limit;
- send messages you schedule or ask it to send.
Messages from chats you haven't delegated are ignored: Worus does not read them with AI and does not answer them. You authorise Worus to act as your agent for the delegations you create. What it sends within a delegation is sent on your behalf and in your name, as if you had sent it yourself. Worus stops handling a chat when the delegation ends, when you pause or cancel it, or for 30 minutes after you write in that chat yourself.
5. Your contacts
People you delegate are not Worus users and haven't agreed to these Terms. You're responsible for your relationship with them, including:
- having a legitimate reason to let an assistant read and answer your conversations with them;
- telling them they may be talking to an AI assistant whenever the law requires it, or whenever not telling them would be misleading (for example, if they ask). We recommend being open about it;
- not delegating chats that are especially sensitive (health, legal, financial, children) unless you've thought it through.
For the personal data of your contacts that Worus processes, you decide why and how it's processed, and we process it on your behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. AI output and your responsibility
Worus writes replies with large language models from third-party providers. AI can be wrong, incomplete, out of date or say something in a tone you wouldn't use. It can also be misled by messages written to manipulate it. So:
- check how Worus is handling your chats, especially at first, and give it clear instructions and accurate knowledge;
- don't rely on Worus for anything where a mistake could cause serious harm: emergencies, medical, legal, financial or safety decisions, or commitments you couldn't honour;
- messages can't be unsent once delivered. You're responsible for the consequences of messages sent within your delegations.
Worus has safeguards (daily reply limits, time windows, pausing when you step in, escalating what it doesn't know), but these don't guarantee it will never send something you didn't intend.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use Worus to:
- send spam, bulk or unsolicited messages, chain messages or marketing to people who haven't asked for it;
- harass, threaten, deceive, defraud or impersonate anyone, or pretend to be a human in order to mislead someone to their detriment;
- send or collect anything illegal, including content that sexualises minors, incites violence or infringes someone else's rights;
- process other people's data in ways that breach data protection law;
- break WhatsApp's terms, or try to get around the limits Worus places on messaging;
- attack, overload, reverse engineer or gain unauthorised access to the Service, or use it to build a competing product.
We may pause delegations, limit features or close accounts that break these rules, and we'll tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.
8. Your content
Your instructions, knowledge bases, and the messages Worus reads and writes for you ("Your Content") remain yours. You give us permission to store, process and transmit Your Content only as needed to run the Service for you: answering your chats, showing you history, keeping it secure and fixing problems. We don't use Your Content to train AI models, we don't sell it and we don't use it for advertising. You confirm you have the right to upload what you add to your knowledge bases.
The Service itself (software, design, name and logo) belongs to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use it under these Terms. If you send us feedback, we may use it freely.
9. Messages we send you
Worus doesn't send you SMS. To sign you in, Worus may write a one-time code into your own WhatsApp chat ("You"), which only you can see. Worus also posts notices in your panel (for example, when a contact needs you or a message wasn't confirmed as delivered). We don't send marketing messages through your WhatsApp. We may email or message you about important changes to the Service or these Terms.
10. Beta, price and changes
Worus is in early access. Features may change, break or be removed, and there may be downtime. Worus is currently free. If we introduce paid plans, we'll tell you the price before you're charged and you'll be able to decide whether to continue; nothing will be charged without your explicit agreement. Paid plans will come with their own billing terms, including your statutory right of withdrawal where it applies.
11. Third-party services
Worus relies on other companies to work: WhatsApp (the messaging network itself), hosting and database providers, and AI model providers. They're listed in our Privacy Policy. We're not responsible for outages or changes in their services, but we choose them carefully and bind them to protect your data.
12. Warranties and liability
We provide Worus with reasonable skill and care, but "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we don't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate or suitable for your purpose.
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for: indirect or consequential loss; loss of profit, business or data; actions WhatsApp takes against your number; or the content and consequences of messages sent within the delegations you set up. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of €100 or what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer under the laws of the country where you live.
If you use Worus in breach of these Terms or of the law, and that causes a claim against us by a third party (for example, one of your contacts), you'll compensate us for the reasonable costs of it, to the extent the law allows.
13. Ending your use
You can stop at any time: unlink Worus from your phone (WhatsApp › Settings › Linked devices), and ask us to delete your account at the address in Contact. We'll delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if WhatsApp or the law requires it, or if we stop offering the Service. Except in urgent cases, we'll give you notice first and, if you ask, a copy of your data.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Spanish law. If you're a consumer living in the European Union, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live. Otherwise, the courts of Spain have jurisdiction. Before going to court, please write to us: most problems can be solved quickly.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Worus evolves. We'll change the date at the top and, for material changes, tell you in the panel at least 15 days before they apply. If you keep using Worus after that, the new Terms apply; if you don't agree, you can stop and delete your account.
